I TOLD on Saturday how Charli XCX is planning a lavish wedding to her fiance, The 1975’s drummer George Daniel.
So it’s a good thing he has had a bumper year, with the band banking £5million from their sell-out UK tour last year.
The sum was revealed after the band wrapped up their Still… At Their Very Best UK tour in March.
Latest accounts for their firm The 1975 Touring Limited show its cash reserves rose from £3.3million to £8.3million.
The band, also featuring frontman Matty Healy, guitarist Adam Hann and bassist Ross MacDonald, paid out £1.3million in tax and VAT.
There’s more money on the way too, with the band set to headline Glastonbury and drop a new album.
They have been hard at work in the studio, with Matty expected to open up about his turbulent romance with Taylor Swift.
George and Charli will get hitched in Italy, one of their favourite places to go on holiday.
They’ll be able to snap up an entire mansion there, let alone pay for a slap-up hotel for their next trip.
FORGET divas Mariah Carey and Madonna, it turns out Kid Rock can also throw an almighty strop.
A friend of mine was in Jon Bon Jovi’s bar in Nashville over the weekend when Kid Rock came out on stage to perform for Bon Jovi keyboardist David Ryan's birthday.
But after asking the crowd to clap along to his version of Tina Turner’s Proud Mary, Kid Rock threw a hissy fit and stormed off stage.
My pal shared a video of the moment with me which shows Kid Rock shouting: “You know what? F**k that! You’re not going to clap, I’m going.”
He continued: “F**k them,” before stomping up the stairs.
My mate told me: “Kid Rock absolutely lost it because people weren’t clapping enough.
“It was a proper diva strop and no one quite knew what to say afterwards.”
I’m guessing he didn’t hang around backstage to help David blow out the candles on his cake . . .
ELLIE GOULDING and model Brooks Nader turned heads as two of showbiz’s most eligible single women.
The stunning-looking stars posed in snaps which the Miracle singer shared on Instagram to celebrate Brooks’ 29th birthday last Friday.
Alongside the photos Ellie wrote: “Happy birthday my gorgeous girl. Adore you beyond.”
Brooks split from her husband Billy Haire in 2022 while Ellie announced her separation from husband Caspar Jopling last February.
There’s certainly no shortage of smiles with these two now that they don’t have blokes around.
KYLIE MINOGUE is hoping to repeat the success of her hit Padam Padam with another club banger.
Brazilian DJ Alok has a new single coming out with the pint-sized Aussie pop star called Last Night I Dreamt I Fell In Love.
The track is expected to be released this week ahead of the start of Kylie’s Tension world tour, which starts Down Under in Perth on Saturday.
Kylie’s UK gigs begin at Glasgow’s Hydro Arena on May 16 before shows in Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Nottingham and London.
The mammoth tour will see Kylie on the road for the next six months but she admitted she has a secret weapon to keep her going.
Kylie said: “I know Will I Am had a bed in his dressing room, I don’t need that.
“I’m a little person, I can curl up on a sofa or an armchair.
“I sit on the floor every afternoon and do a 10-15 minute meditation and that keeps me calm, keeps me sane and on track.”
Each to their own, Kylie.
PROFESSOR GREEN is preparing to launch his comeback with a brand new music video.
The Lullaby star was spotted just down the road from our office filming outside of Tower Bridge in central London.
Pro was seen singing into a camera as tourists walked past him and started to film.
A fan spotted him and shared these snaps with me, adding: “Pro was filming his a new music video by the Thames.
“Loads of people stopped to watch him but he didn’t seem fazed at all.
“He did a number of takes and his cameraman got some really cool shots, including going up on Tower Bridge to film Pro below him.”
I caught up with Pro last October and he told me he’d been hard at work on his follow up to 2019 record Matters Of The Heart.
I can’t wait to hear what he’s been working on.
CHARLI XCX has been a queen for a long time in my book – and now it’s all there in black and white.
She looks utterly incredible in this shoot for W Magazine, which orders readers to “all hail” the Brat superstar, who scooped three Grammy awards this month.
Long live the Queen.
