What is Bodyguard about?
Following a successful stint in the military, veteran police officer David Budd is assigned as the lead protection officer to the current Home Secretary.
Julia Montague has been tasked with pushing through a counter-terror bill which will massively increase the range and scope of so-called 'snooper' powers.
Because of the controversial nature of the legislation and her own political ambitions, Montague is a high-profile target and requires around-the-clock protection.
The series focuses on the relationship between the two and Budd's split loyalties between his duty and his own principles.
