Describing the symptoms, Amy said she had been left "dripping in sweat and shivering".

The mum-of-one took to social media and wrote: "No podcast for me this evening after three weeks of 'pushing through because surely I'll have to get better at some point, I can't be ill forever?!'

"I've realised I'm never going to get better if I don't rest."

Amy began feeling worse earlier this week and last night decided to pull out from her hosting duties to recover fully.

"I had a half day reprieve on Monday where I thought I was better but then on the way home, I thought my throat felt a bit sore," she went on to say.

"I've now got swollen glands, earache and swing between being dripping in sweat and being so cold I'm shivering in a thermal base layer, big thick jumper, huge duvet and a blanket."

Amy said she wouldn't be gone for too long though, adding: "I'm hoping if I can sleep for a 12 hours tonight, I'll be back tomorrow."

Last week Amy reacted to her ex Curtis Pritchard "ditching" Ekin-Su on All Stars after he did the same to her.

History repeating itself

It comes after the pro dancer's had his head turned briefly after the arrival of bombshell Danielle Sellers.

Ex-Love Island girlfriend Amy, who he met during the 2019 series, gave her verdict on the situation.

He coupled up with her from the start and then got "bored" of her when new bombshells arrived.

Amy has revealed she thinks Curtis should've given Ekin more "reassurance" when he was invited to the hideaway with Danielle.

Speaking on the Love Island: Morning After podcast, Amy - who is now married with a child - said: "When Curtis and I were together, he got invited on a date with Molly-Mae in the hot tub in the hideaway and he said to me, 'you've got nothing to worry about, I'm gonna tell her about how great Tommy is'.

"And then when he came back, he came straight to me and he was like, 'you're gonna love her, she's amazing, you;re gonna get on really well and you've got nothing to worry about.'

Going on she said: "But I feel like he needed to give Ekin-Su a lot more reassurance, he just said, 'stay beautiful', and walked off."

Although Curtis didn't ditch Amy for Molly-Mae Hague, he DID dump her for bombshell Maura Higgins.

This resulted in a heartbroken Amy leaving the show early as she couldn't bear to watch them together.

In a similar behaviour pattern, Curtis also reportedly "dumped" his girlfriend to appear on All Stars

Fans have also slammed him and called for him to be removed.

Another added: "I think Curtis is being toxic with these women."
