Fern Britton returning to This Morning for the first time since she quit EIGHT years ago
The 59-year-old co-hosted the ITV morning show with Phillip Schofield for 10 years
FERN Britton is returning to This Morning EIGHT years after she quit the show.
The 59-year-old presented the hit ITV morning show with Phillip Schofield for 10 years from 1999 until 2009.
Her spot on the sofa was taken over by Holly Willoughby, but Fern will make her long awaited return to the show on Thursday.
However she will not be reunited with her former co-host Phil, and will instead be interviewed by Easter hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about her new show with husband, chef Phil Vickery.
The couple will appear on Culinary Genius and Phil is still the resident chef on This Morning despite his wife leaving.
Since leaving the show, Fern has sent the team video messages for special anniversary shows, but her appearance on Thursday will be the first time she has been in the This Morning studio since her departure.
A source close to the show told : "It'll be fantastic to have Fern visit This Morning again, she will have worked with many of the team on and off screen and will be a nice little reunion and chance to catch up."

As well as chatting about her new programme, she will also watch her husband cook up a dish in the This Morning studio.
Last year, Fern told The Sun Online she wouldn't rule out a reunion with Phil at some point despite rumours circulating at the time that Fern quit after discovering Phillip was earning three times more than her.
She said: “It was great, Phillip and I did our five or six years together and he is an extraordinary force.
“Something between us was like lighting the blue touch paper, it made us laugh, and it was a great relationship and I really enjoyed it.
"Would we want to recreate that? It’s had its time, but I don’t know, never say never."
