Helen confessed that she initially cut out alcohol to support boyfriend Robbie Talbot with the challenge.

But the mum-of-three realised she was benefiting from dry January even though she'd replaced drinking with snacking.

She wrote: "I’ve put weight on this January, I’ve done dry January, I wanted to support my boyfriend with it so did it myself…

"Then I realised my drinking habits probably weren’t the best myself… so cutting down on my drinking as made me just want to snack more. But it's fine."

Helen also revealed she's eating bread and pasta for the first time in two years.

She continued: "My eating habits can be a bit wierd (eating disorder from my teens) but I try with it.

"I don’t think as women we're ever happy, there’s always something to pick at, but I suppose as you get older it’s a nice thing as you just become more comfortable in your skin."

Helen recently teased a return to Coronation Street after playing Rosie Webster between 2000 and 2018.

She shared a throwback from when she first joined the soap and previously told The Sun she'd love to go back.

Helen said: "I would absolutely love to go back to Coronation Street.

Helen Flanagan breaks silence on 'tough week' after driving ban as she insists it was a 'massive misunderstanding'

"I live now where I did growing up and I've moved around so much, you know, with my ex, football and stuff, so I'm back.

"But to be able to do Coronation Street, they would have to ask me back.

"Also if I went back and stuff, I'd want to be in a good storyline and what have you."
