Coleen Nolan makes bizarre claim Reggie Kray was obsessed with ex Shane Ritchie’s EastEnders character Alfie Moon – despite him dying two years before he joined the soap

COLEEN Nolan claimed that Reggie Kray was obsessed with EastEnders character Alfie Moon – despite the fact he was dead when Shane Ritchie appeared on the soap.

Notorious gangster Reggie died in 2000, two years before Shane joined the cast of the BBC One soap.

Coleen made the comments during a discussion about real crime being entertainment.

She began her anecdote by explaining she’d had lunch with Charlie Kray over 30 years ago and felt so uncomfortable about it, she never met up with him again.

Coleen then made the bizarre claims about Charlie’s brother Reggie.

Coleen said: “The actual Reggie Kray, when Shane was playing Alfie Moon in EastEnders he loved that character – he used to try and get in touch with Shane and all of that to speak to him.

“He sent me two drawings for Shane [junior] and Jake – he drew two pictures for them.

“People have asked me if I still have them as they’d be worth a fortune but I ripped them up.”

No one in the audience appeared to realise what had happened and applauded Coleen for not keeping the drawings done by Reggie.
