Philippa Middleton, known to most as Pippa, is the middle child of the three Middleton children – Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and James William Middleton, an entrepreneur whose company sells cake-making kits for birthdays.
The 35-year-old socialite graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in English literature, something she later put to use by releasing her own non-fiction book, Celebrate, in 2012.
However, she is most known for almost stealing the spotlight on her sister's wedding day to Prince William by wearing a figure-hugging bridesmaids dress that turned her bum into a national talking point.
Her new husband is James Spencer Matthews, who was born in August 1975 to parents David, who owns the luxury Eden Rock resort in St Barts in the Caribbean, and artist mother Jane.
James is the heir to the Scottish title of Laird of Glen Affric and his childhood was split between St Barts and Caunton Manor in Lincolnshire.
His younger brother is reality TV star Spencer Matthews, who made his name on E4 show Made in Chelsea.
The pair met in 2006 on the Caribbean island of St Barts and had an on-off relationship before they became a steady couple in 2014.

The couple wed at St Mark's Church in Englefield in Berkshire and resident priest the Reverand Nick Wynee-Jones officiated.
The church dates back to the 12th century and was extensively restored by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1857.

Pippa's parents Carole and Michael were in the front row of the church and her brother James attended with his on-off girlfriend and former Byker Grove star Donna Air.

Does Pippa Middleton have an engagement ring?
Pippa and James officially announced their relationship less than a year after rekindling their romance.
On a break to the Lake District last July, James got down on one knee and asked his wife-to-be if she would marry him - taking her completely by surprise.
The millionaire hedge fund manager proposed to Pippa with a hefty octagonal diamond ring, which comes with a central four carat Asscher-cut diamond stone.
With an estimated cost of £200,000, the pricey ring also boasts a halo flawless diamonds around the centre, although it’s unclear who exactly designed it.
She was wearing the show-stopping ring on her wedding day.
But one thing is for sure, it has a price tag to match the Duchess of Cambridge's stunning sapphire engagement ring.
Prince William proposed with the same ring his father Prince Charles gave to his late mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
