In the series of stunning photos, the singer was seen embracing a more gothic side to her character.
She ditched her trademark platinum blonde locks for long dark hair .
During the photoshoot for Elle UK, Lady Gaga - who's real name is Stefani Germanotta - opened up about her star status.
"I'm just trying to feel as in my skin as possible and not like I'm performing all the time," The superstar told the publication.
"For me, I'm at a place in my life where I just want to feel like myself in clothes.
"Whatever that means. So if that's changing, I just want to go with that feeling."
She then added: "I love being Lady Gaga. I love being me. I became a star when I was 20.
"Everything gets reflected back to you that this persona is what makes you special."
Lady Gaga also talked about turning 40 next year, and how she felt about the milestone.

"All the ways that I can create positivity and joy.’
Lady Gaga also talked candidly about the love she has for her fiance Michael Polansky , who she met in 2020.
Speaking about their relationship, she said: "He used to say to me when we first met, 'You are a special human being when the cameras aren’t on you. And I get to see that all the time.'"

Their collaboration is already up for two awards on the night including Song Of The Year, having been streamed a whopping 1.6billion times on Spotify since it came out in August.

Lady Gaga has long been associated with the hit ceremony — famously arriving on the red carpet in a huge plastic egg ahead of the 2011 ceremony.
She later “hatched” on stage to belt out her hit single Born This Way.
The Bad Romance singer made her Grammys debut in 2010 when she performed alongside Sir Elton John .
She also performed at the event in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022 — and has won 13 gongs.
The superstar released the lead single, Disease, from her upcoming seventh album last November, which was her first solo UK Top Ten hit in four years.
