Danny Dyer to mark EastEnders return with massive punch-up with new boy Lee Ryan
Danny has not been on-set for more than a month as he jetted off to South Africa alone to recuperate
DANNY DYER was forced to take more than a month off from EastEnders to “sort his life out” after a string of boozy meltdowns.
But the actor will be making up for all the lost time by returning to the BBC1 soap with a bang – literally.
In one of his first scenes back on the programme, the EastEnders hardman will be shown having a huge punch-up with Albert Square new boy LEE RYAN.
The two hardmen come to blows after the BLUE singer’s badboy character “Woody” Woodward lands a job in the Queen Vic.
An EastEnders source said: “Danny is going to be straight back into the thick of it when his character returns to our screens – and his character Mick Carter immediately finds a new enemy.
“Mick is left seriously riled when Walford’s new villain Woody rocks up on the square – and even lands a job alongside him in the Vic.
“There’s going to be ongoing beef between the two hardmen and eventually it all kicks off."
“Mick and Woody end up having a huge punch-up in the Square – leaving all the residents stunned. It’s a proper bust-up with the boys really going for it and rolling all over the place.
“Woody also has a secret connection to KELLIE BRIGHT’s character Linda too which makes things even more difficult.
“It’s going to be one of the first scenes Danny and Lee film together.”
Danny’s on-screen brawl with Lee is his latest scrap on the Square since joining the soap in 2013 — including his epic New Year’s fight with Dean Wicks which saw Danny and MATT DI ANGELO wrestle in a lake.
Danny has not been on-set for more than a month as he jetted off to South Africa alone to recuperate.
His trip came after I revealed how the party animal actor had stopped filming suddenly in February after talks with show bosses.
The Sun then revealed video footage of Danny being calmed down by co-stars in a meltdown after the National Television Awards just weeks earlier.
At least this time with Lee he can get all worked up and no one can tell him off...
HOLDEN ON TO YOUTH
THERE’S been The Voice Kids, Junior Bake Off, Junior MasterChef and even Junior Eurovision.
Now AMANDA HOLDEN thinks it’s time for a kids’ version of Britain’s Got Talent .
The BGT judge, seen with ALESHA DIXON in pics to mark the start of the new series on ITV on Saturday, said: “There should be a show called Little Britain’s Got Talent because the children have been better than the adults!
“This year we’ve been inundated with incredible children. It gives me hope for the future.
“There’s babies being born every day. In 11 years’ time, when I’m on my Zimmer frame, I’ll audition them!”
I’m sure she’ll still look just as glamorous.
SIMON COWELL has always been partial to a dog act on Britain’s Got Talent but co-host ANT McPARTLIN’s labrador may have changed that.
Hurley, who was brought on as part of a contestant’s dog yoga act, heeded the call of nature on stage.
Horrified judge DAVID WALLIAMS revealed: “Ant’s dog did the longest pee ever – literally, like ten minutes. It went on for ever.”
CHELSEA MOB OFF TO IBIZA
NORMALLY when the Made In Chelsea cast talk about having it large, they’re referring to their bank balance.
But this summer, JAMIE LAING, LOUISE THOMPSON and co will head to the party islands of Ibiza and Majorca to film what could be their trashiest series yet.
It will mark the first time the Made In Chelsea lot have shot in the same location as their Towie rivals, who made two Ibiza specials in 2014.
A source said: “The guys are more used to classy cocktail bars than stumbling down the strip necking Jägerbombs.
“If they’re tempted away from their plush surroundings, they could go absolutely wild – which is what producers want, of course.”
An insider promised “the usual drama from the cast, who can’t wait to explore the White Isle in Chelsea style”.
The Balearics series, to air in July, follows more glamorous trips to New York, LA and the South of France.
AS host of This Morning, PHILLIP SCHOFIELD isn’t shy of an innuendo or two.
And he kept up his rude form on new ITV show 5 Gold Rings.
Contestants have to place a ring on the correct part of an edited image.
And Phil got the giggles when a sculpture of a naked boy urinating into a fountain was shown – with hands, abdomen and private parts obscured.
Phil said: “On the missing part of the picture, can you find . . .”
After briefly losing his cool, he broke the suspense and added: “Wait for it, please . . . can you find his belly button?”
Contestants Stephanie and Jimmy, playing to win £25,000, eventually went home with nothing.
They won’t be laughing all the way to the bank then.
JAYMI'S MASTER PLANS
JAYMI HENSLEY should have gone on SIMON COWELL’s shortlived cooking series Food Glorious Food rather than The X Factor.
The UNION J singer, who came fourth on the ITV singing show in 2012, is the latest star to sign up for Celebrity MasterChef.
I’m told he will take part alongside ULRIKA JONSSON, S CLUB 7’s RACHEL STEVENS and Gogglebox’s REVEREND KATE BOTTLEY.
A source said: “Jaymi is really excited and hopes he can walk away a winner.
“He has been juggling the competition while the band records new music.
“Union J have recently taken on new management and are set to release a new track this summer after a bit of time away.”
It won’t be Jaymi’s kitchen debut on telly. In 2015 he came second in Celebrity Couples Come Dine With Me with fiancé Olly Marmon.
In one awkward scene, former EastEnders actor RICKY GROVES, who played Garry Hobbs, admitted he had never heard of Union J or any of their songs.
Jaymi’s career is going the opposite way to former bandmate GEORGE SHELLEY, who I revealed was booted out of the band owing to a “lack of commitment”.
I told last week how George was axed from his dream job on Capital FM’s Breakfast Show after just 14 months.
Perhaps his old mate Jaymi can cheer him up with a meal.
SOAPBOX
BEX decides to go out busking in EASTENDERS.
Shakil helps her and even Martin turns out to be supportive once she manages to convince him.
But Madison and Alexandra are continuing to make their presence felt – and they can’t help taunting her.
Meanwhile, over in EMMERDALE, Victoria doesn’t feel her usual self – and she hopes it is because she might be pregnant.
But when she goes looking for advice, she could end up accidentally exposing someone else’s secret at the same time.
Complicating matters even further, Adam spots the pregnancy test and tells Moira he is going to be a dad.
This could all get very awkward indeed.
