Where is Take That’s Jason Orange and what does he do now?
JASON Orange quit Take That in 2014 after more than 20 years with the boy band.
Former bandmate Robbie Williams once said that he wants to hire a private detective to find the reclusive star who he hasn't heard from in years.
Why and when did Jason Orange leave Take That?
announced in September 2014 that he would be leaving Take That after more than 20 years with the band.
It came as a shock to fans as there had been no indication that he was considering leaving the group, and Jason and the band assured them that there was no ill will between them when he left.
In a statement released to the press at the time, he said: "I want to start by saying how proud I am of what we have achieved together over the years.
"I have spent some of the best years of my life with Take That and I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of my journey, including my band mates, who I feel are like brothers to me."
He added that he simply no longer wished to be in the band anymore or dedicate his time to touring the world and writing new material.
The remaining members of the band revealed that they had been aware of his feelings for a few years and that they 'fully respected' his decision to leave.
The boys have continued touring and making new music, performing occasionally alongside former member Robbie Williams.
Where is Jason Orange now?
Apparently there have been a couple of rare sightings of Jason in public.
He was spotted in Hale, greater Manchester, in March 2018 and at a hotel in the city that December.
Now 50-years-old, the former popstar has kept things low key since quitting the band but fellow band member Howard Donald sent fans into a frenzy when he tweeted in 2018 about reuniting with Jason.
The tweet read: "Just bumped into Mr Orange And he looks as handsome as he ever did! Quick chat as I had both kids with me. 1st time he’s ever seen them. #goodtimes."
Previously Howard had said on ITV's Loose Women: “Jason’s gone off the grid. He’s not taking emails or phone calls or stuff like that.”
But Donald also added that he thought Jason vanishing was “good for him, that’s where he wants to be - he wants to be a million miles away from this at the moment”.
What has Robbie Williams said about Jason Orange?
Jason seems to have disappeared since leaving Take That and according to Robbie Williams he hasn't been in contact with him, Gary Barlow, Mark Owen or Howard Donald for years.
Chatting on his At Home With the Williams podcast with wife Ayda, Robbie revealed: “You know you can have that Find My Phone thing?
"The whole of Take That should have a locate Jason Orange thing because none of us know where he’s gone.
“I should hire a private detective — he finds out where Jason Orange is, we inject him with a beeping thing, a chip, then we know where Jason is at all times."
