We reveal how much film flops made on opening weekends after just ONE person watches Shia LeBeouf’s Man Down
The film starring Shia LeBeouf took just £7 on its first weekend after only one person saw it in Burnley
A NEW film starring Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf took just £7 on its opening weekend in the UK.
Man Down was seen by just one person in a cinema in Burnley, Lancs, after its release last month – making it one of the lowest-grossing movies in UK history.
Here we look at how much other film flops made on their first weekend – watched by one man (who couldn’t even get his dog to go with him).
MAN DOWN
(2017) £7
The story of a US soldier, played by Shia LaBeouf, returning from Afghanistan, had a budget of £2.8million, but scored a poor 14 per cent rating on film site Rotten Tomatoes.
One critic called it a “bomb site of a film”.
RUN FOR YOUR WIFE
(2013) £602
This farcical flick about bigamy – starring Danny Dyer, and Sarah Harding – was fast-tracked to DVD.
A critic said of the £900k budget film: “As funny as leprosy. A roll-call for Brit TV legends previously suspected deceased.”
LOVE’S KITCHEN
(2011) £121
This tragic story about a chef who buys a restaurant after his wife dies was as pitiful at the box office.
Of the film, starring Dougray Scott and Claire Forlani, a reviewer said: “Like smashing plates over your head while suffering diarrhoea.”

DARK TIDE
(2012) £90
This bonkers shark thriller was a far cry from Oscar-winner Halle Berry’s usual fare.
With a budget of £20million, it was released in one cinema and made just £90 on its first weekend.
Even the leading lady described it as “s**t”.
COLONIA
(2016) £47
Many critics declared Emma Watson’s career over after this rambling tale of a religious cult in Chile.
Shown in just five cinemas, including the same venue as LaBeouf’s latest flop, it was labelled “very silly stuff” by one reviewer.
7LIVES
(2011) £38
The fact this thriller was released on DVD while still in cinemas should have sounded the alarm. Another flick from Danny Dyer – he plays seven characters, so it’s a shame he couldn’t find seven people to watch it.
