The emotional moment happens in the first episode of her new documentary, Molly Mae: Behind It All, which is available now on Prime Video.

Talking to her mum, Debbie, in the £3.5m mansion she used to share with Tommy, Molly reveals the full extent of her struggle behind the scenes as their five-year relationship broke down.

“He wanted to have a family life but also have the life of a 25-year-old boy with no responsibilities and the two don’t go hand in hand,” she says.

“He’s never had an alcohol problem, it’s just that alcohol caused problems for us. It got to a point where I wasn’t really looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much.”

And when her mum admits she can “only cite a couple of examples where he’s had some alcohol and it’s not led to anything disastrous,” Molly hits back: “I can’t think of any.”

Sobbing Molly then admits that even her memories of her sister Zoe’s wedding day in July last year were ruined by Tommy’s drinking, saying: “At my sister’s wedding I literally begged him, I pleaded with him to not drink. And … it’s just really sad … I don't know why I’m crying now. It’s just so sad. It just affected me.”

Molly and Tommy met in 2019 on Love Island - and had baby Bambi in January 2023.

Six months later, they got engaged in a romantic proposal - and planned to get married this year.

And in the long-awaited documentary, Molly admits that she didn’t want to break up with her fiance - but she had to.

“I’m not breaking up with him because I don’t love him anymore, I’m breaking up with him because he hasn’t given me a single other choice,” she tells Zoe.

“Even over the last year I’ve been so much more aware of things that have been going on, that I was so naive to for so long and I still don’t think I know the full picture,” she adds.

Tommy and Molly’s shock split came in August last year when she posted a statement to Instagram, telling fans: “Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this.

“After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.”

He was later accused of cheating on her with a ‘blonde stranger’ on a lads’ holiday to Macedonia - something Tommy has repeatedly denied.

The boxer admitted yesterday that alcohol and partying was behind his split, saying: “We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.

“It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink.”

In the documentary, Molly avoids any mention of cheating but does tell the camera: “The rumours that were coming out at the time, it’s just like, a lot.

"People really close to me were messaging me saying ‘really sorry to hear he’s gotten someone pregnant, really sorry to hear he’s with this person’ and I was like where is this coming from?

“It was a build up and a lot of times it was a last chance situation - there’s only so much you can take.

"You don’t really have another choice. You have to do what you have to do. I decided I don't have another night left in me, lying in bed feeling upset.

“I’m not doing this anymore. It was a situation of if I don’t post this statement [on Instagram], I'm not going to do this. I’m not going to walk away. Unless I put this out - it needs to happen.”

Timeline of Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury's split

After five years together, Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury split up in August 2024.

At around 4pm on Wednesday, August 14, Molly-Mae and Tommy suffer an explosive showdown and Molly-Mae announces her split from fiancé Tommy Fury, saying ' I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way'.

An hour later Tommy shares a separate and brief statement confirming they have parted ways, and thanks Molly-Mae for making him 'a dad'.

The real reason they split emerges and on Thursday, August 15 The Sun reveals how Molly-Mae learned Tommy had cheated on her - leading to an explosive showdown.

On Saturday, August 17, The Sun reveals how Molly-Mae had been sent an upsetting video showing Tommy kissing a girl in a nightclub in North Macedonia on a lads holiday.

Exactly one week after the split a Danish woman accused of getting close to Tommy speaks to The Sun. On Wednesday, August 21, she denies she is the girl who kissed Tommy.

The couple have continued to co-parent baby Bambi but Molly admits she’s really struggling.

At one point in the show, she loses her temper and hangs up the phone on Tommy, telling him “I can’t have this conversation” and at another, Facetimes him to tell him off for not sending her videos of Bambi’s ballet session.

“It’s all so fresh and I feel really traumatised by the last couple of months,” she tells her mum. “And when I see him, I see all that trauma. I am angry at him and I am very hurt, I can't help that.

“I think he hopes in the future that we will be back together as a family. Obviously I never ever wanted Bambi to come from a broken home because I did.”

But clearly, things aren’t over between them yet. Yesterday, Tommy revealed he’s beaten his battle with booze and is back on the straight and narrow, while Molly admits in the documentary that: “What’s getting me through is the hope that Tommy and I will end up back together.”
