The nineties icons are making a musical comeback ahead of a sold-out tour later this year - and one person who will be ecstatic to see the new clip is Rylan Clark.

He will be talking viewers through this huge moment of pop culture history - and while nothing has been confirmed, he might have his old CBB pal Claire Richards will join him on the famous ITV sofa.

Rylan earlier tweeted: "IVE GOT IT ! I've got the EXCLUSIVE first look at the brand new tomorrow on 10.30 xxx"

Scared Of The Dark is the first single from their new album, Tears On The Dancefloor, and is an Abba-tinged stomper that is sure to delight hardcore fans.

The band tweeted a snippet from the video to their official Twitter account, which shows the band taking on a more grown up and sultry vibe.

The Sun's Bizarre column revealed that the five-strong band - Claire, Ian 'H' Watkins, Faye Tozer, Lisa Scott-Lee and Lee Latchford-Evans - were back recording new music back in December.

The nineties pop favourites have been back in the studio recording brand new material for their fifth album, which they are aiming to release in spring or summer.

It will be the first time in five years that Steps have released an original album or gone on tour.

A source said: “This reunion has been in planning for a long time with various ideas thrown about.

The group are all agreed its time for them to inject some fun into the music scene

“But the one thing everyone could agree on was it’s time for Steps to release new music and inject some fun back into the scene.

“Obviously the band have all matured in the two decades since they found fame, and so has their music.

“But diehard fans won’t be disappointed – especially not when they’ll still be wheeling out their cheesy hits on stage.”
