PALS close to Lorraine Giles - the nanny embroiled in Mel B and Stephen Belafonte's toxic marriage breakdown - have lashed out at the former Spice Girl.
Close friends to Lorraine, who has recently come out of hiding, have vehemently denied claims she fell pregnant to Belafonte or had an affair with him.
A close pal said: “I’ve never heard anything about that.
"I think that’s a pretty crazy thing to say. Obviously anyone in this situation would be devastated.
"Lorraine is very, very upset.
“She can’t comment on things which are not true but it is a very, very shocking and dramatic time for her.”
The former Spice Girl claims her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte got Lorraine pregnant and then paid her £241,000 for “nanny services”.
But sources insist that far from loathing each other, Mel enjoyed Lorraine’s company and the pair were once extremely close.
Lorraine's sister Jacqueline Baartz has also denied claims her married sibling had a relationship with Belafonte.
It comes after Mel B's sister tore into Stephen Belafonte branding him a wife beater and a psychopath.
Danielle Brown also told him: “I hope you rot in hell.”
Writing on Instagram she said: “Eight years of abusive calls me and my mum have had stating we would never see Melanie again. I am laughing and celebrating as you were wrong. You are a sorry excuse of a man!”
Danielle went on to slam the couple’s former nanny Lorraine Giles, 26, who it is claimed fell pregnant during a fling with Stephen.
And she blasted Lorraine’s hubby Michael Bleau, who Mel alleges was secretly sent £48,000 from her account.
Danielle told the trio: “I hope you go to jail and rot in hell”!”
She added a string of hashtags, including “adultery”, “kidnap”, “abuser”, “fraud”, “criminal”, “attempted murder”, “controlling”, “violent”, “evil” and “got my sister back”.
Stephen Belafonte filed his response to Mel B’s divorce petition last night asking for spousal support from his wife.
His court papers, filed in LA, also requested that the singer pay his lawyer's fees.
And the movie producer is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their daughter Madison.
Belafonte’s declaration puts the date of their split as March 1 this year – but Mel put down December 28, 2016
By starting divorce proceedings last month, 11 weeks before their ten year anniversary, Mel could save millions.
If the marriage had lasted more than a decade, she may have had to support Belafonte indefinitely under Californian law.
But now a court is likely to set the duration of support at half the marriage’s length.
This week she applied for a restraining order and filed court papers accusing Stephen of abusing her in ten years of marriage.
In them she says: “He had a huge resentment against my family, especially my mother, and would do anything to keep them away from me.”

Mel is said to have cleared out belongings from the family home in LA. Pal Dannii Minogue has visited.
A source added: “Mel bagged up anything she didn’t want Stephen to get his hands on.
"She believes he would deliberately leak intimate videos. She won’t take any chances.”
Stephen has denied all of Mel’s allegations.
His lawyers have branded her allegations “outrageous and unfounded”.
The pair are set for a further court showdown on April 24.
