Stephanie Davis shares inspiring message praying to God to grant her serenity after ex Jeremy McConnell enters rehab for the sake of his son Caben-Albi
The former Hollyoaks actress has shared a moving message with her fans following a turbulent few weeks
STEPHANIE Davis has shared an inspiring message praying for "courage" and "serenity" after her ex Jeremy McConnell headed to rehab.
The former Hollyoaks actress added the post on Twitter after Jeremy vowed to take action after battling a "downward spiral" in a deeply honest message recently.
Steph's message read: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference."
She captioned it: "Love this. I Always go with it."
It came as Jeremy was seen leaving his Dublin home to head to rehab this week.
The 27-year-old has gone in to treatment to battle his booze and drug demons – as well as finally deal with the grief of losing his mother and siblings in a short space of time at a young age.
He has also been struggling to cope with the sudden loss of his father last month after a short battle with cancer.
Jeremy will spend the next few weeks un-contactable at a £400-a-night rehab facility in the heart of the Irish countryside.
While he won't see her or Caben for several weeks, he will have an odd reminder of her with him.

He wrote: “I want to leave this last message here for people to maybe get a better understanding of who I am as a person.
“I know a lot of people are sick of reading stories etc in the press about me and my life and have a huge dislike for me, for the record nobody dislikes myself more than me.
“I never once have used my misfortunes in life for sympathy or excuses, as a lot of people have really tough lives, the fact I acted in a way that has been irresponsible a lot of which I feel was self reflection.
“I’ve let my family, friends, management and work down, I just hope I can wipe the slate clean and come back with a second chance.
“Someone in this world when you’re low and you really don’t feel you have anyone and the press and peoples’ opinions on you are not really who you are, it’s tough to try and survive.
“I punished myself more than anyone could, I always said I never cared what people thought of me but deep down it’s been that supportive comment on Instagram or Twitter that’s made me feel a lot better.
“The people who know me know I’m a good guy with a massive heart, I just never handled fame, money or actions very well and got lost in a downward spiral, it’s something I’m about to fix and never look back on.
"But I’ve learnt from my mistakes, this will be my last message for a while.
"I’ve decided to take the appropriate action for myself and my new family and thank you for everyone’s support and to a new lease of life."
