The Brit Awards want to give Sabrina Carpenter a chance to celebrate her phenomenal achievements over the past 12 months with a huge performance at the ceremony, I can exclusively reveal.
She spent 21 weeks at the top of the singles chart, got six Grammy nominations and kicked off her first arena tour, in support of No1 album Short N’ Sweet.
Now insiders tell me that organisers have been locked in talks for weeks with the Please Please Please singer’s team in an attempt to make it happen.
A source said: “The Brit Awards is all about celebrating incredible musicians and Sabrina dominated 2024.
“They are in advanced negotiations to get her on stage at the show on March 1 and are pulling out all the stops to make sure it can happen.
“Sabrina’s had a phenomenal year, and broke the record in the charts in the UK by becoming the youngest female artist to hold the No1 and No2 spot in the charts in the same week.

“She is a musician the Brits want to champion and they know that her performance would be a real ratings winner with all the viewers watching the ceremony at home on ITV.”
If the Brits do manage to nail down Sabrina we could be in for one hell of a night.
On Monday, we revealed that Chappell Roan, above, had been approached about performing at the bash, which is being held at London’s O2 Arena.
Like Sabrina, fellow US singer Chappell had a stellar 2024, with her album The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess topping the charts.

Our moles told us she was being teed up to perform a medley of her hits from the record, and Sabrina is wanted to do the same thing.
The Brits is the biggest event in our music calendar. And the idea of two of pop’s biggest players taking to the stage has seen excitement levels on our desk reaching fever pitch.
So Please Please Please, Brits, make this happen.
Ariana bewitched by Ethan
Ariana Grande appears to be in dreamland with a rare public display of affection towards her boyfriend Ethan Slater.
The couple, who got together on the set of Wicked in 2023, posed at the National Board of Review Gala in New York, two days after she attended the Golden Globes without him. The hit movie sees Ethan’s character Boq make repeated passes at Ariana’s good witch Glinda, which she bats off in favour of dating Fiyero.
But away from the film, it looks like she only has eyes for Ethan.
Elt’s new bee side
Sir Elton John is the latest big name to discover the buzz of making honey.
Pals of the Rocketman tell me he has become a keen beekeeper and was getting it from his own hives to dish out to famous friends.
One of his mates told me: “Elton has some hives at his family home in Berkshire and he’s been making his own honey.
“It’s been a passion project for some time and over Christmas he sent his honey out in a hamper to his friends.
“The bees are kept on their land and it’s been a wonderful project for Elton. He loves being at home with his husband David Furnish and their sons and this is something lovely they’ve made.”
In 2020, Elton started creating fruit juice from apples grown on trees in the garden of his estate. And like the juice, Elton’s pal said he wouldn’t be flogging his honey, telling me: “This is just something special for his friends.”
Given celebrity honey is all the rage at the moment, with Jeremy Clarkson and his Bee Juice and David Beckham, above, making his Sticky Stuff, I think Elton is missing a trick. But then again, he did bank £170,000 a day last year, so it’s not as if he needs the money.
Daniel Craig will be honoured with the Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film at the London Critics’ Circle Film Awards.

The movies Anora and The Brutalist lead nominations at the event, with six each.
Latest album is Lumin’
The Lumineers are back and will release their new album Automatic on Valentine’s Day.
It is the first release from the American folk duo, made up of Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites, in three years.
“This album marks 20 years of songwriting between Jeremiah and me,” Wesley said.
“The album explores some of the absurdities of the modern world, like the increasingly blurry line between what’s real and what’s not.”
The pair recorded the album, including first single Same Old Song which is out now, in less than a month and laid down the tracks at Woodstock’s Utopia Studio in New York.
Wes, above, and Jeremiah will play tracks on their UK tour, which has dates at arenas in Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham, London and Glasgow in May.

Yachting 80th for hot Rod
Sir Rod Stewart is sailing into his 80th birthday tomorrow by hiring a £120million superyacht to host the celebrations.
The Maggie May great, above, who will play Glasto’s Legends slot in June, has headed to Barbados with his family to mark the milestone.
Sir Rod’s boat is now moored in St Barts, where temperatures will hit 30C today, and he’s been making the most of it by sunbathing and swimming.
His family have gone all out for the celebrations, and dressed up in Celtic kits in a nod to his love of the footy club. They have also been spotted partying at cabaret club Le Ti in St Barts – where the cheapest bottle of bubbly costs £500.
We are massive fans of Rod here on Bizarre and can’t wait to have a late birthday celebration with him down at Worthy Farm.

Jacko’s girl: quitting drugs saved my life
Michael Jackson had a much-publicised battle with drugs that eventually killed him – and now his daughter Paris reveals she almost suffered a similar fate.
In an emotional post online, the singer said she is “an alcoholic and a heroin addict” but is now celebrating five years of being sober.
Paris, above, shared images of the sobriety coins picked up from AA.
She also reflected on the possibility of not being alive if she hadn’t got herself clean.
Paris wrote on Instagram: “Today marks 5 years clean & sober from all drugs and alcohol. To say that I’m thankful would be a poor euphemism. Gratitude hardly scratches the surface.
“It’s because I’m sober that I get to smile today.
“My god, I can’t believe I almost missed it all.”
At the end of an accompanying video showing her smoking and drinking, followed by far happier times, Paris added: “To those that helped me on this journey, if only for just the beginning, middle, or the whole time so far, you know who you are and I owe you my life.”
Good on her.
