GEMMA Collins broke down in tears when a fertility specialist told her she had a low egg count on Wednesday night's The Only Way Is Essex.
The 36-year-old was given the results of a test to determine her AMH score and the findings weren't promising as she found out she had a low ovarian reserve.
The consultant advised against Gemma's recent plans to freeze her eggs and suggested a course of IVF or even reaching out to both a sperm donor and egg donor.
He said: "The uterus is fine. The most important thing now is your ovaries. You're 36 now and the AMH has come back reduced at 3.6. That means the number of eggs on your ovaries has come down significantly. It's not a very good result."
As Gemma became upset, he reassured her the results were nothing to do with her lifestyle and didn't rule out that she could eventually conceive naturally.
His parting advice was that Gemma needs to bring down her Body Mass Index, to which she replied: "I know what you're saying, honey."

At the end of the episode there were more tears as Gemma told BFF Bobby Norris the news.
Revealing her frustration, she said she was worried she wouldn't have an children to leave her shop to.
Ever the optimist, Bobby replied: "You'll be all right. I can sense it in my gallbladder."
She said: “I'm living in this sheer panic morning, noon and night.
“Firstly because I'm worried I'm already going through the menopause; secondly 'Why haven't I found the love of my life?' and thirdly I'm asking 'Why me?'”
