Imelda May is a singer, songwriter, and a multi-instrumentalist musician.
The Irish star was on July 10, 1974, which makes her 44-year-old.
She can play the bodhran, guitar, bass guitar, and tambourine.
Imelda is the youngest of five siblings and studied Art, Graphics, and Printmaking at Senior College Ballyfermot.
At the age of 14, she sang in the advert for Findus Fish Fingers.
Her singing career really took off at 16, when she started touring the Dublin club circuit.
In 1998, Imelda moved to the UK and toured with Mike Sanchez.
The Dublin native has released five studio albums to date in the span of her career.

Imelda's five studio albums have been full of successful songs.
Her third studio album Mayhem was released in 2010, which reached the number one spot in the Irish Album Charts.
It later took over the same spot in the UK Charts.
Imelda's fifth album Life Love Flesh Blood was also full of hits - which got released in 2017.

Is Imelda May married?
Imelda married her guitarist Darrel Higham in 2002 and the couple had a daughter together in August 2012.
The couple split in July 2015 and Darrel decided to leave the band to focus on his solo career.
They are separated but still married - and Darrel is now a member of rockabilly band Kat Men.
