BRITISH actors suffered a disappointing night at The Golden Globe Awards 2025.
Overnight, shock wins saw Demi Moore become a first-time winner aged 62 after scooping the gong for Best Actress while stars including Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman lost out to Fernanda Torres.
However, luck was not on the side of actors and filmmakers from the UK who only managed to pick up a handful of gongs.
Despite triumph from Netflix's hit show Baby Reindeer, British stars including Daniel Craig, Hugh Grant and Eddie Redmayne all failed to win.
Wicked's Cynthia Erivo, Kate Winslet, Tilda Swinton, Gary Oldman, Ewan McGregor and Jack Lowden also missed out.
The day was saved by Baby Reindeer which won Best Limited TV series, accepted by creator Richard Gadd who lost to Colin Farrell in the category for best performance by a male actor in a limited or anthology series or TV film.
His British co-star Jessica Gunning won best female supporting actress in the television category for the dark comedy inspired by the creator's claims of being stalked and sexually assaulted.
The 38-year-old said in her acceptance speech: “Thank you to Richard Gadd, Baby Reindeer has changed my life in ways that I can’t even explain.
"I know the eight-year-old me would be chuffed to bits."
Despite rave reviews, Hugh Grant was snubbed for Best Actor - musical or comedy - with Sebastian Stan taking the award home for A Different Man.
Queer's Daniel Craig missed out on Best Actor for drama against Timothée Chalamet in A Complete Unknown with Adrien Brody in The Brutalist winning the competitive category.
Twice-nominated Kate Winslet left empty-handed as did Eddie Redmayne for his role in The Day of the Jackal.
Elsewhere, American actress Zoe Saldana took home her first Golden Globe award after being named Best Supporting Actress in a motion picture (musical/comedy) for her role in Emilia Pérez.
However, later in the evening, she left some fans raging after bizarrely crashing the stage as the winners of a different category were being announced.
And Challengers star Zendaya, who had been nominated in the best actress category, sparked engagement rumours after sporting a huge diamond on her left ring finger.
