STACEY Solomon’s fans have hit out at her latest craft project as the multi-millionaire saved cash by making her daughters’ Christmas gifts.
The 35-year-old star is known for her savvy home hacks and this Christmas was no different, as the mum-of-five made a present for her two girls, Rose and Belle.
She penned: “The girls Christmas present 🌸 done ✔ it’s not my finest work & there so much I wanted to add but haven’t had the time.”
Stacey could be seen making an impressive pink dolls house which she beautifully decorated with florals, lighting and a wooden sign.
She continued: “In all honestly I know they’ll love it so much & I genuinely love making over & up cycling things for their presents. I feel a part of them & their memory of it.
“Also I’m excited to add a chimney & more character as we go along. I’ve also been crafting Minecraft presents for Rex because he wishes he could have the game but he can’t so I made make shift real life pic-axes & gem chests instead.”
Stacey showed off her creative process, but while some fans were loving the festive gift idea, others questioned the creation.
One person said: “It’s an upcycling project but she used plastic foam blocks that are bad for the environment.”
Someone else said: “You do know that those green floral oasis bricks are made of plastic and are horrendous for breaking into micro plastics and getting into the water systems.”
Another shared: “I’m more concerned about the kiddies eating the little particles if they pulled one out.”
But it seemed the positive comments far outweighed the bad, with many impressed by Stacey’s talents.
It comes as Stacey’s husband Joe Swash, 44, revealed a huge change to their usual Christmas Day plans recently.
Speaking to , Joe said: “Last year, we had about 28 people at our house for Christmas dinner.
“This year is a bit more quiet: just me, Stacey, the kids and three or four other people coming.”
But one thing that hasn’t changed is Joe will be in charge of cooking the Christmas dinner.
He continued: “Stace would love to get involved but I really enjoy cooking at Christmas so I’m more than happy. I probably do the best roast potatoes in Essex.
“Stacey is a fantastic cook. She’s a better cook than I am but I enjoy it a little bit more.”
