Jeremy McConnell vows to take action after being ‘lost in a downward spiral’ and opens up about personal grief following reunion with Stephanie Davis
The reality star has posted a lengthy message to his fans, before taking a break from social media to "fix" himself
JEREMY McConnell has vowed to take action to turn his life around and admitted he's been battling a "downward spiral" in a heartbreaking and lengthy social media post.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star, who recently reunited with the mum of his baby, Stephanie Davis, has admitted his personal grief over the years, as well as constant attention in the limelight, made it "tough to try and survive".
Jeremy has now taken time away from social media, and posted the long message to fans to explain he won't be online for a while, as he tries to "fix" how he handles "fame, money and actions".
He wrote: "I want to leave this last message here for people to maybe get a better understanding of who I am as a person.
"I know a lot of people are sick of reading stories etc in the press about me and my life and have a huge dislike for me, for the record nobody dislikes myself more than me."

He added: "I never once have used my misfortunes in life for sympathy or excuses, as a lot of people have really tough lives, the fact I acted in a way that has been irresponsible a lot of which I feel was self reflection.
"I’ve let my family, friends, management and work down, I just hope I can wipe the slate clean and come back with a second chance.
"Someone in this world when you’re low and you really don’t feel you have anyone and the press and peoples’ opinions on you are not really who you are, it’s tough to try and survive.
"I punished myself more than anyone could, I always said I never cared what people thought of me but deep down it’s been that supportive comment on Instagram or Twitter that’s made me feel a lot better.
"The people who know me know I’m a good guy with a massive heart, I just never handled fame, money or actions very well and got lost in a downward spiral, it’s something I’m about to fix and never look back on."
Jeremy concluded: "But I’ve learnt from my mistakes, this will be my last message for a while.
"I’ve decided to take the appropriate action for myself and my new family and thank you for everyone’s support and to a new lease of life."
However, the former Hollyoaks star has insisted she's still in love with the troubled star, and has vowed to stand by him.
She told : "Jeremy knows that he is 100% in the wrong. And he has done things that aren’t good. But he isn’t a bad person, deep down, he’s not an evil vindictive person."
Steph insisted she's not a "mug", and Jeremy is allegedly aware he's been "appalling" in recent weeks, but she's still completely in love with him.
Jeremy has had a difficult past, and Steph went on to explain the deaths of his mum, brother and sister, as well as his dad passing away recently, have affected him.
"I think his dad just dying was a trigger," she added.
