Ben Affleck takes his daughter Seraphina to football training after completing rehab
The star has battled his demons and is getting back into family life
BEN Affleck has thrown himself into family life after checking out of rehab for alcoholism.
The Hollywood actor, who secretly went to a facility to stop his battle with the bottle shortly after the Oscars, was all smiles as he spent some quality time with his kids.
The hunky star was snapped attending his daughter Seraphina's soccer camp in Brentwood, California.
The A-lister was at the sidelines cheering her on as she played a footy match.
He then scooped her up for a hug at the end.
Ben left rehab two weeks ago, and this was the second time the star had sought help for alcoholism after a brief period in 2001.
In a heartfelt message on Facebook, he praised his wife Jennifer Garner and his family for their help and support, saying he was “lucky” to have them.
He wrote: “I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I’ve dealt with in the past and will continue to confront.
“I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be. I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step."
Meanwhile, his best friend, and fellow actor Matt Damon told Entertainment Tonight: “He’s with the kids now, couldn’t be happier. Jen’s working for a couple weeks in Atlanta, so he’s Mr. Mom-ing it right now. And that’s what he wants to be doing.”
Ben had previously gone on record to discuss his continuing issues with alcohol, and explained to in 2012: "I went to rehab for being 29 and partying too much and not having a lot of boundaries and to clear my head and try to get some idea of who I wanted to be."
He added: "It was more a 'let me get myself straight,' before it became a rite of passage."
