Ed Sheeran sets up huge foundation to help revive the British music industry
This isn’t the pop superstar's first charitable endeavour
AFTER making a £340million fortune from music, Ed Sheeran wants to give something back.
I can reveal the Shape Of You singer has set up The Ed Sheeran Foundation to help others get into the music biz.
He registered it with the Charity Commission in October and has enlisted RCA music exec Stacey Tang, his manager Stuart Camp, Def Jam co-president Alex Boateng and his business manager Will Ashurst as trustees to help run it.
Insiders said the charity would give grants to individuals and organisations, along with advice and help for budding musicians.
But this isn’t Ed’s first charitable endeavour.
He launched the Ed Sheeran Suffolk Music Foundation in 2019 to help artists under 18.

THE KOOKS have teamed up with Lovelytheband in a new video for their track Jeanie.

Frontman Luke Pritchard and his bandmates also called on Queen drummer Roger Taylor's daughter Lola for the video, in which she is draped in a flag like Sixties French film icon Brigitte Bardot.
Luke, who gave a shoutout to London vintage clothes shop Lovers Lane, said: “Lola is a real rock star.

“My favourite new haunt is Lovers Lane on Portobello, and the beautiful folk there lent us an incredible vintage Roberto Cavalli dress which Lola danced around in.
“We put in a little nod to Brigitte Bardot by wrapping Lola in the flag. It’s been amazing to have so many people who draw from the same in- fluences as me in, and making, our videos.”

And now runner-up Coleen is gearing up to launch her own brand of health supplements.
Insiders say Coleen has signed a big-money deal with Applied Nutrition to work on a new range.
They told me: “Coleen looked so glowing in the jungle and that is thanks to her hair, skin and nail collagen capsules which she takes every day.
“Now her fans will be able to get the same look. She will launch her Applied Nutrition range in the New Year.
“Coleen recorded a TV ad to promote the products before she went to Australia and her fans will be able to see it in January.”

RINGO STARR wasn’t short of big names at his album launch.

The Beatles drummer has done a Beyonce and made a move into country music.
He played his new tunes at Third Man Records in London on Monday.
Ringo was joined by celebrities including Spice Girl Mel C, Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton, Jools Holland and Bob Geldof.
Ringo, who will release Look Up on January 10, said of the album: “I love my voice on this.
“I love all the tracks actually, and you know, they’re all in my key.”
The album will be the perfect Christmas present for Barry Keoghan, after Ringo confirmed the actor would play him in a biopic.
Sam Mendes is directing films which will tell the individual stories of the Fab Four.
Ringo said of Barry: “I believe he’s somewhere taking drum lessons, and I hope not too many.”
