EAMONN Holmes couldn't hide his surprise when a dog puked over bedsheets in the This Morning studio while its owners were underneath.
The host held up the soiled sheet and asked the cameraman to get a close up as the dog's owners, husband and wife Ray and Phil, chuckled in their pyjamas.
The pair were on the show to discuss pet owners who share their beds with their dogs and were debating with commentator Angela Epstein when the incident happened.
Angela, who was strongly against the idea, used the incident in her argument, and Ruth Langsford added: "Well I suppose that does illustrate your point."
While Eamonn, who was also against pets in the bedroom, quipped: "I think today they've let you down on the hygiene front."
That being said, Ruth admitted their dog Maggie sleeps in the same bed as their son Jack.
Before pukegate, Angela made the comparison between dogs sharing beds with people to pigeons and insisted it would make her instantly wash her sheets.
Phil hit back that the couple changed their sheets three times a week.
The journalist claimed dog owners have moved towards being fur baby parents which "affects human relationships".
Lots of dog lovers took to Twitter to share pictures of themselves in bed with their pets and hit out at Angela's comments.
One wrote: "The expert is clearly not a dog lover, I have no problem sharing my bed with a pup 🙈 #ThisMorning"
While another said: "@thismorning no one likes that lady she probably doesn't even own a dog!!!"
As a third vented: "This woman is back I see, is her job just to complain about people and their pets? 😂 #ThisMorning"
