The Voice winner Kevin Simm slams the show for ‘not supporting’ him as he reveals he won’t appear on this year’s final
THE Voice winner Kevin Simm has launched a scathing attack on the show after being snubbed ahead of this weekend's final.
Kevin, 36, won the singing competition in 2016 but, when asked if he will be making a guest appearance this year, he didn't pull any punches.
A fan had questioned Kevin on Twitter as to whether he will be returning with comeback performance, but he replied: "No, unfortunately I missed the season where they go on to support you afterwards."
Some of Kevin's followers have been quick to back the former Liberty X star, with one saying: "Wtf??? You should be invited back on there!"
Another added: "That's insane, you were a worthy winner.
"Hardly surprising, look at The Voice's track record. They discard people liked used tissues."
A rep for The Voice declined to comment.
Kevin won The Voice during its final series with the BBC.
Following its move to ITV, the coaching lineup was switched with newbies Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson joining The Voice veterans, Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am, on the panel.
Four acts remain in this year's competition and they will be going head-to-head on Saturday before the winner is announced in a second live show on Sunday night.
Gavin has no contestants left in the contest, while Jennifer will be supporting her two reaming hopefuls, Mo and Jamie Miller.
Into The Ark will represent Team Tom, while will.i.am will be cheering on his singer, Michelle John.
