SPOILER ALERT – EastEnders’ Michelle Fowler hits an all new low…(if that was even possible)
Also this week: Denise VS Carmel, Tina struggles to cope and Ben and Jay get surprise visitors
If the shame of her relationship with Preston wasn’t enough to tarnish her reputation in the Square, nearly taking out Kush, Kathy and the chippy has pretty much sealed Michelle’s fate as far as the rest of Walford is concerned.
Not that Michelle is taking a blind bit of notice as she ignores Sharon’s bedside protestations and tries to get in touch with Preston.
When Sharon finally comes clean to her mate about what’s happened with the Florida jailbait, Michelle has a massive strop and tells her to sling her hook.
Things don’t look any rosier when Michelle is discharged from hospital and makes her way back to the Square. Whispers and stares aside, Ian is hopping mad about the near destruction of his saveloy empire, and Sharon can’t believe what she’s hearing when Michelle says she plans to follow Preston back to the States.
With her ears still burning, Michelle goes to the police station where the enormity of what she’s done hits her.
Our greatest sympathy, though, is with Martin, who is still wondering what on earth his big sister has been playing at.
We reckon it’s going to take a very long sit-down on Arthur’s bench to make sense of this one…
Denise vs Carmel
Raising money for the fayre and bolstering community spirit with a sponsored bike ride should be exactly what’s needed in Walford, but the polar ice cap is more likely to thaw than the atmosphere between Carmel and Denise.
Given Denise’s track record with blokes (Lucas, Ian, Phil…), Minute Mart’s finest may not seem like the perfect catch for Carmel’s beloved Kush, but considering what good mates Denise and Carmel have been, isn’t it a case of better the devil you know?
Go on, Carmel, let Denise at Kushy and his lucky mirror ball. What could possibly go wrong?
Tina Struggles to cope
Tina is beside herself since the death of Sylvie.
Kathy quickly realises that she’s in no shape to work, and when Billy spots her looking like a lost soul in the street, he suggests she might start thinking about the funeral arrangements.
In her toughest prison visit yet, Tina finds the courage to tell her big sis what has happened.
With the weight of Tina’s revelation adding to Shirley’s woes, the only light at the end of the tunnel is that she is due to be released on Friday.
Here’s hoping a Carter reunion (of the few remaining family members) will ease the suffering.
