AN EMBARRASSED Ruth Langsford today revealed how she accidentally shared an explicit penis picture on Twitter over the weekend - and ended speculation it was of husband Eamonn Holmes.
The Loose Women presenter told her fellow panellists that the two raunchy images visible under a tribute to her mum Joan posted on Mother's Day came from a girlfriend playing an online gag.
The issue was raised on Tuesday's show by Coleen Nolan who said: "It doesn't take a lot to shock me but you've done just that Ruth Langsford. Or Rude Langsford as the papers called you."
Ruth then explained: "I was trying to find a pic of my mum and I zoomed in and screenshot it.
"But what I didn't realise is that when you get sent those rude and amusing pictures on Whatsapp, it automatically gets saved into your camera roll.
"So when I took the screenshot, you could see the image at the bottom of the screen.
"Those photos at the bottom of the picture were just in my camera roll. I blame the girlfriend who sends me those things. You know who you are."
The presenter continued: "The picture was of the male anatomy."
Gloria Hunniford then joined in and quipped: "One question that pops up was 'Was that Eamonn's little Johnny?'"
To which Ruth instantly replied: "Don't say little."
She admitted her husband had mentioned he hoped her followers didn't believe it was him in the picture.
The This Morning presenter had captioned her picture: "My wonderful Mum and big sis. Thinking of those who no longer have their Mum's... you'll always have memories."
Unfortunately for Ruth, eagle-eyed followers quickly pointed out the images in the camera roll out with one tweeting her: "There's a few rude pics in your photo stream like the penis in the shoe."
Others were not so on the ball and encouraged her to frame the picture.
Ruth later realised her mistake and re-posted the picture without the camera roll.
