Coronation Street’s Sam Robertson puts himself in the frame for Ken Barlow’s attempted murder on This Morning and admits ‘put all your money on Adam’
Actor Sam thinks his character is the one you should be backing in Corrie’s most intense whodunit…
SAM Robertson has told fans of Coronation Street to ‘put all their money on Adam’ as viewers try and work out who tried to kill Ken Barlow.
Appearing on This Morning with his Corrie co-stars, who are also in the frame for Ken’s attempted murder, Sam was confident his character was the culprit.
Rather than being in Canada as his family believed, Adam was actually in the area at the time Ken was pushed down the stairs.
He told This Morning's Sharon Marshall: “He’s ended up in Longsight which isn’t as glamorous in Toronto…
“I'd say put all your money on Adam!”
But Sam’s not the only one in the frame with Chris Gascoigne – who plays Peter Barlow – admitting his character could also be guilty.
He explained: “We don’t know who did it! We genuinely don’t know.
“Peter yes, he could have done it. He was furious at Ken.
He could have done it, not that he would have meant to murder him. There was blood on his hands…”
Kate Ford (Tracey Barlow) also thinks her character has a decent chance of being in the frame, adding: “Tracey has form when it comes to violence.”
As he realises one of his family members is the perpetrator, he moves into Roy Cropper's as he is too scared to return home.
Viewers watched as Pat Phelan, who Ken had previously rowed with over his lacklustre work in his kitchen, found him at the bottom of the stairs after entering the house for unknown reasons.
He was found by Ken's son Daniel who came into the house to find the evil builder stood over his unconscious father.
Daniel called the ambulance while Phelan stood by and watched and only checked if Ken was OK when Daniel shouted at him to make himself usual.
Likewise Peter was found with a cut hand by Toyah Battersby outside the house.
Tracy had spent the night alone looking for daughter Amy, who had gone missing, but it was Amy who looked the most scared as Ken was loaded into the ambulance.
