Danny DeVito and wife Rhea Perlman split for good three years after calling off divorce
The acting couple have been together for more than forty years and have been married since 1982
DANNY DeVito and his wife Rhea Perlman have separated again after 35 years together.
The It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia star, 72, and the Cheers actress, 68, had initially split three years ago, but tried to give their marriage another shot.
But the actor has revealed that while they’re not going to officially divorce, the pair have now separated.
He told Martha Teichner on CBS News Sunday Morning: “We’re not getting a divorce, but we separated, yeah.”
But despite the end of their marriage, Danny affirmed that the pair are still good friends and support each other's career.
He said: “Well, we’ve been friends for 40-something years. We love each other.”
The pair first got together in 1971 and married in 1982.
During that time had three children together – Lucy, 33, Grace, 31, and Daniel, 29.

Becoming one of Hollywood’s longest lasting couples, the acting duo even appeared as husband and wife in the 1998 adaptation of Matilda.
In 2012, the pair split amid allegations that Danny had a “wandering eye” during their marriage.
At the time, a source told RadarOnline: “Like a lot of red-blooded males, if he sees an attractive girl in a coffee shop or walking down the street, he will give her the eye.
“After years of turning a blind eye to it, Rhea finally snapped. She had enough of his bad boy behaviour and wanted an end to their marriage.
“The break-up has been on the cards for a long time, probably over 10 years, because they haven’t been happy for a long, long time.”
However, the rumours were never confirmed by either party and the pair reconciled in 2013.
He is currently starring in long-running US sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia as philanderer and con-artist Frank.
