Cheryl’s Girls Aloud bandmates Sarah Harding, Nadine Coyle and Kimberley Walsh lead the celebs congratulating the new mum’s arrival

CHERYL's Girls Aloud band mates were the first in line to congratulate the star on the announcement of her baby boy with Liam Payne.

As Cheryl and Liam revealed that their baby boy had arrived on Wednesday on Saturday night, Nadine and Kimberley were two of the first in line to send their well wishes to their pals.

Nadine was the first to send her good wishes, and wrote on Twitter: "Congratulations I am so so happy for you & your precious little boy & family! Sending you loads of love!"

Kimberley went to Cheryl's Instagram page and underneath the photo send a series of heart-eyed and blue heart emojis to tell her friend congrats.

Sarah Harding also joined the well-wishers, writing in a post on Twitter: "MASSIVE CONGRATS to @CherylOfficial and @LiamPayne on their little bundle of newfound joy and all the adventures to come! Proud of u girl x."

Their messages came after Liam's mum and sister also posted emotional tributes.

Khloe Kardashian also got in contact with Cheryl to wish her the best, and wrote: "Congratulations doll!!!!! God bless your family!!!!! I couldn't be happier for you love!"

Zoella also followed suit with a series of clapping emojis and hearts to the pair.

Vicky Pattison also sent her love to the new parents, and wrote on Instagram: "Huge congratulations to you both....[blue heart emoji]"

The This Morning and Loose Women teams also shared their congratulations to the TV favourites on their as-yet-unnamed bundle of joy.

They joined millions of fans online who sent the hashtag #CongratsLiamandCheryl up the trending charts on Twitter less than an hour after the announcement was made.

Cheryl and Liam announced their arrival to the world at the same time on Saturday evening - a day before mother's day.

Cheryl wrote: "On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream.

"Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival.

"Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever 💙"

Liam also took the opportunity to gush over his other half and wrote: "My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow!

"I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.
"I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed.
"Happy Mother's Day everyone!"
