Ruth Langsford reveals glamorous makeover after Eamonn Holmes appears at first public event with new girlfriend
Ruth Langsford has shown Eamonn Holmes what he's missing by showing off her brand new hairstyle.
It comes just days after husband of 14 years Eamonn, went public with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander, 43, at last week's Irish Post Awards.
Ruth posted some snaps showcasing her new hairstyle, a matter of days after Eamonn was pictured at the awards ceremony in London, with new love Katie.
The 63-year-old shared a pic of her new long blonde extensions with her Instagram followers.
In a video posted to the social media site Ruth explained the reason she gets extensions is because her hair thinned so much during the menopause.
She said: "That's why I have them (extensions). Not particularly for length but for a bit of thickness because my hair in menopause has gone thinner."

It comes hot on the heels of Eamonn, 64, and Katie attending the event, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel last week, although they didn't pose for pictures together on the red carpet.
Shortly after Ruth and Eamonn's split was confirmed six months ago, Eamonn began dating the Huddersfield-based marriage counsellor.
And having finally gone public with their relationship it took until last week for the pair to appear at a celebrity event together.
Although according to The Mirror, Eamonn was insistent that photographers not snap them together, as they both stayed for the entire ceremony, which Eamonn co-hosted.
He and Ruth split after she is said to have found messages between Eamonn and another woman on a laptop.
And Ruth has now hired £400 an hour lawyer, the appropriately named Catherine Costley, to ensure she's well-represented in the divorce court.
Speaking previously to The Sun on Sunday, Eamonn, who has been seen in a wheelchair, and spoken about his experience with Shingles, admitted the last year hadn't been easy.
He said: “It’s been a tough year and I’ll be glad to see the back of it.
“But there are lots of things to be grateful for and I hope that my health improves next year.”
