Danny's temporary exit will be revealed tonight

His exit came about as Mick rushed into the Queen Vic upstairs and revealed daughter Nancy was hit by a car in Bulgaria and he had to leave.

The scene, which lasted less than a minute, saw Whitney booking a flight to Sofia for Mick after he received the shocking news. The cash-strapped family were forced to dip into baby Oli's savings to pay for the flights.

Viewers watched as Mick's wife Linda Carter made an unexpected return last week after being summoned by Jane Beale before spiriting herself back to Spain to look after her mother who had suffered a stroke.

The Queen Vic landlord has faced mounting pressure in recent weeks as the pub struggles to bring in enough money as well as son Lee leaving Walford for a new life in Dover.
