Lorde shows off table full of booze and drugs as she celebrates 28th birthday
POPSTAR Lorde went all out as she celebrated her birthday in New York over the weekend.
The 28-year-old showed off a table littered with cigarette butts, booze, and an ashtray full of what appeared to be joints.
Cannabis is legal in New York, and there are calls for the drug to be legalised elsewhere.
Lorde previously revealed her album Solar Power was inspired by weed, saying "it's a marijuana album!"
The Royals singer showed off a variety of items in an artistic-style snap, as the party appeared to get underway.
Lorde seemed to be surrounded by bottles of alcohol as well as a ceramic dish which appeared to contain joints complete with ash trays and bowls full of cigarettes.

Chewing gum, lighters and empty and half-drunk glasses also littered the table for the night's celebrations.
Lorde and her friends appeared to be enjoying Via Carota pre-mix cocktails to get themselves in the party mood as they let their hair down at the bash.
Surrounded by her pals for the wild evening, Lorde was surprised with a huge birthday cake complete with one singular candle.
The star, originally from New Zealand, currently lives in New York after splashing out $3.5million on a compact 112-square metre two-bedroom flat.

In New York, it is currently legal for those aged 21 and above to possess 85gm of cannabis as well as 24 grams of concentrated cannabis for personal use only.
Inside your own private residence, it is legal to store up to 141gm of the drug.
Lorde appeared over-the-moon with the party as she could be seen grinning whilst surrounded by her pals at the shindig.
In another snap shared to her social media account, she could be seen puffing on a cigarette indoors.
The songstress appeared to be by a window as she took a drag.

Having sold more than 10 million copies, it is regarded as one of the best-selling singles of all-time.
