Mel B urged to lift the lid on her sex-laden marriage to Stephen Belafonte in an explosive new book
Mel B has been urged to lift the lid on her stormy, sex-laden marriage to estranged husband Stephen Belafonte in an explosive new book.
And the star – worth close to £50million – will ban her hubby from talking about their relationship under the terms of a pay-off.
The former Spice Girl has already penned one achingly frank book in which she detailed a drugs overdose, turbulent childhood and the acrimonious divorce from dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
The book Catch a Fire: The Autobiography came out in 2002 and the publishers gushed: “There is surely no one alive on the planet who has not heard of Melanie B, the in-your-face loudmouth who is one of the most popular members of one of the most popular bands of all time.
“Now, at last, she tells her own story - funny, frank and at times frightening, but never, never dull.

“It's all here: the council estate childhood, the formation of the Spice Girls, the early months of being groomed for stardom, the subsequent global domination, Geri's departure, the marriage - and acrimonious divorce - to Jimmy Gulzar, the birth of Phoenix Chi, the solo career and the leap into TV presenting.
“Not bad for the rebellious, mixed-up girl from Leeds who is still only in her mid-twenties.”
But now the mum-of-three has a five-year lesbian relationship under her belt and her headline grabbing marriage to film producer Stephen which led to accusations just over two years ago that he was violent towards her.
Stephen always denied any wrongdoing.
Leeds-born Mel once said of her sexuality: “People call me lesbian, bisexual or heterosexual, but I know who's in my bed and that's it... I have a huge libido and a great sex life.'
Last night a source said: “A second book would be an absolute sensation. Mel is a global superstar and has plenty more to write about.
“Also, if she has incidents in her marriage which were less than palatable then it would be a strong message to send out to other women suffering in difficult relationships.
“Her family in Leeds is right behind her and think it would be a great idea for her to finally tell the world the truth about her marriage.”
But it's claimed Mel will prevent him revealing intimate details of their fiery marriage.
His lawyers will seek a pay-off settlement from Mel arguing that he sacrificed his career to support her work as talent show judge in the US, UK and Australia.
But her legal team could include a gagging order in the final settlement to ensure he can’t speak or write about their relationship.
The Sun Online has contacted Mel's reps for comment.
