Katie Piper’s mum Diane reveals devastating moment her daughter asked her to KILL HER after her acid attack horror
KATIE Piper's mum Diane has opened up about the moment her daughter asked her to kill her following her brutal acid attack.
Diane Piper has spoken for the first time about the aftermath from her perspective of her daughter's vicious acid attack that left her begging her mum to kill her when she was in the hospital.
Speaking about the moment she first saw her daughter in the hospital following the attack, an emotional Diane said: "It was absolutely horrific, I never even recognised her, there was just this person.
"The face was unrecognisable. We kept saying, 'Are you sure? Are you sure?'"
But more heartache was to come when Katie was brought out of her medically induced coma and the first thing she asked her mum struck horror in her heart.
"Probably 'kill me' when she first came around the next day. She wasn't speaking but she was writing messages like 'what happened?'. One of the messages was 'kill me'."
It comes after Katie revealed she had been struck down with an eye infection as she continues to suffer the aftermath of the vicious acid attack that almost blinded her.
The star opened up to her fans about coping with complications as a result of her injuries.

Back in 2008, the TV star suffered horrific injuries when an ex-boyfriend arranged for a pal to throw sulphuric acid into her face.
She was immediately treated in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where the surgeons removed all the skin from her face before rebuilding it with a skin substitute and then a skin graft.
She still regularly undergoes medical procedures to this day and opened up to her fans about the day to day struggles of her injuries.
Speaking in a video on Instagram, Katie said: "So I just got in from work and wanted to make a video to show you this is something that happens when you've got injuries from the past near eyes.
"Today I've come out in a really bad infection, I have a lot of antibiotic creams and stuff, my own little supply that I keep at home.
"So I'm going to treat it with some antibiotic cream and some drops, let me know if you have sensitive eyes or eye problems.
"This happens to me quite a lot but it usually clears up in a couple of days."
Her followers rushed to send her messages of support and to tell their own stories of eye problems.
One wrote: "I get asked who would I most like to meet I always say you. Your inner strength is remarkable and an inspiration to us all."
Another said: "You look incredible so pretty stunning beautiful lady , we love you xx."
A third added: "Words cannot express how much you inspire people. Love everything you do. Reading your confidence book at the moment, so helpful and encouraging. Thank you.x"
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed Katie's inspirational life story is set to hit the silver screen.
She told the : “Somebody in America bought the film rights last year and they have renewed them this year.”
In 2015, she married Richard James Sutton, and together they have a young daughter called Belle.
