Kate and Rio, who married in 2019, are parents to Cree, born in December 2020, and daughter Shae, who was born last year.

Kate is also stepmum to Rio's three children Lorenz, Tate, and Tia from his previous marriage to Rebecca Ellison, who tragically passed away in 2015.

The former Towie star said the incident happened at the end of their family holiday, leading to a dash to the nearest hospital for emergency care.

She shared a black and white photo from inside the ambulance which showed the three-year-old on a stretcher as she gave him a kiss.

Kate wrote over the top: "We ended a fabulous trip with a broken collar bone. My boy just always gets injured!

"It's been sleepless nights, cuddles, TV and chocolate since."

Rio, 45, and wife Kate took the kids to the Maldives and were joined by his dad Julian.

The couple had posted sweet moments from the luxury trip, including planting trees in memory of loved ones.

Rio's previous wife Rebecca was training to be an accountant when she met Rio, who was then an up-and-coming football star.

They married in 2009 in a private island ceremony.

Rio said his ";world collapsed"; when Rebecca died in six years later.

In 2014, Rebecca was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent treatment, keeping her illness private and trying not to let it impact her children.

She had a double mastectomy and chemotherapy - which was initially successful, but a year later the cancer returned and spread to her bones.

Just before she died, Rio and Rebecca had been planning to move to their recently-bought mansion in Orpington and start a new life, post-football, with Rio about to retire.

"I loved my wife more than anything," said Rio, but the pair were denied their happy ending by a tragedy nobody should ever have to endure.

Three years after his world was turned upside-down with the death of his wife, Rio found happiness again with Kate.
