First look at Love Actually cast 14 years later as they recreate romantic cards scene ahead of Comic Relief special

THE Love Actually cast have reunited for the first time in 14 years for a new teaser clip ahead of the Comic Relief special.

Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Liam Neeson and more have joined forces for the short movie, a follow-up to Richard Curtis’ romantic comedy.

The trailer sees each of the cast members recreating the romantic cards scene from the original, and they all share a short message with viewers.

It follows Andrew Lincoln’s character Mark's scene, where he declared his love for Keira Knightley's character Juliet.

The cast have completely transformed since the film debuted in 2003, and child actors Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Olivia Olson look almost unrecognisable.

This latest teaser comes days after Andrew ramped the excitement of the upcoming reunion by recreating his iconic declaration scene again.

Andrew's character Mark famously stood on a doorstep on Christmas Eve in the film and declared his love for Juliet using placards so his best friend - and her husband - remained unaware.

While he didn't get the one he loved that day, but did receive a kiss for his efforts, Andrew and Keira will be coming back for another round in the ten minute special that will reunite a large chunk of the all-star cast.

However, some have opted not to return, or were unable to after time constraints on the mini-movie meant their character's got cut.

Emma Thompson is one of the actors who won't return - after on-screen husband Alan Rickman died last year.

She confessed that the scriptwriter Richard Curtis decided to cut her character from the Red Nose Day film reunion in respect to Alan, who lost a battle with cancer last January.

Emma told the Press Association: “Richard wrote to me and said, ‘Darling, we can’t write anything for you because of Alan’, and I said, ‘No, of course, it would be sad, too sad.’

“It’s too soon. It’s absolutely right because it’s supposed to be for Comic Relief but there isn’t much comic relief in the loss of our dear friend, really, just over a year ago."

Kris Marshall also won't be coming back, and explained to The Mirror: “I did get a very, very sweet email from Richard.
