Family were left devastated after their home was destroyed

THIS Morning viewers were horrified today as a family told of how burglars destroyed their home - and stole £8,000 of equipment - which had been adapted for their disabled son Milo.

Stephen Browne and his partner Laura Davidson revealed their terror after thieves ransacked Milo's sensory room which the family had raised £19,000 to install in their home.

Milo suffers from an extremely rare condition known as M3BHA which only affects around eight other people in the world.

The four-year-old needs round-the-clock care and the family had moved out while their home was adapted to better suit his needs.

However, on the day before they were due to move back in Laura discovered the windows had been smashed, the house wrecked and their laptops with precious photos of Milo stolen.

Stephen explained: "The sensory room was already put in place, we were installing a wet room and we had to move out for the council to change the rooms all around.

"It was all interior work to accommodate Milo's needs and while it was going on we were in temporary accommodation which gave us an opportunity to decorate the house without affecting him."
