More on Katie Price
Nicky, 46, says: "At one point you were the most famous person in Britain. How does it sit with you now?"
Katie replies: "In our industry, if I don't turn up for work nobody can replace me. You sort of just get on with it and you don't deal with what's happened.
"It got to a point where I had a major breakdown, ended up in The Priory twice, five weeks at a time, and then I self medicated on coke."
Katie adds: "I've been through so much and I've come out the other end."
The mum-of-five previously opened up about the night of her car crash and the events leading up to it.
Writing in her latest autobiography This Is Me, Katie admitted she'd "had some friends round for a few hours" on the night in question.
She said: "One of them had some coke on them and, yes, I had a little bit of it, probably a couple of lines, it wasn't even a lot. I had some alcohol too."
But the Katie insisted that it was a call from her eldest daughter Princess, 17 - who she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre - that made her jump in the car.
Katie said: "I could tell she was upset so I asked her what was wrong. My daughter was ringing to tell me she wasn't allowed to see me and my heart just broke."
Admitting that she "wasn't thinking straight", Katie added: "I needed to go right that minute and I didn't care that it was 2am. I didn't care about anything anymore."
Katie was spared jail for the crash and was instead handed a 16-week prison sentence suspended for a year, 100 hours community service and ordered to attend 20 rehab sessions.
