EastEnders’ Danny Dyer looks refreshed as he’s pictured with wife Joanne Mas for the first time back in the UK since leaving the soap for an extended break in South Africa
DANNY Dyer has been spotted back in the UK for the first time since taking a break from EastEnders and visiting South Africa.
The actor, 39, was pictured on a shopping trip in Essex with his wife Joanne Mas and looked relaxed and refreshed following his month-long holiday which he went on to “sort his life out.”
Dressed casually in jeans, a black T-shirt and a brown leather jacket, Danny carried to large white bags from shop Linens Direct and storing them in the boot of his car.
In true Dyer style he couldn’t help but still the chance to have a cheeky cigarette as he strolled along the street.

While not-so-secret Justin Bieber fan Joanne wore a sweater brandishing the singer’s Love Yourself lyrics, reading: “My mama don’t like you and she likes everyone.”
The actor has been keeping a low profile over the last four weeks but he was snapped with a fan towards the end of his South African trip and was “glowing.”
An onlooker told The Sun: “Danny was looking a lot healthier and seemed to be glowing.
“He was happy to pose for pictures with fans and appeared to be in good spirits.”
Danny arrived in Cape Town on February 11 and was spotted posing with young fans on a school cricket tour.
The night before he was spotted arriving at Heathrow to catch his flight.
An eyewitness at the airport said: “Danny was travelling by himself on an evening flight. He had a porter dealing with his luggage but other than that he was flying solo.
“He kept his head down and was checking his phone. He was flying first class and sat in the lounge on his iPad drinking a couple of beers.”
Last month Bizarre revealed Danny had been forced to take a break from EastEnders to “sort his life out”.
The party animal actor stopped filming after talks with show bosses.
An insider said: “The producers are concerned about him for a number of reasons.
“It was clear to onlookers he appeared very drunk at the NTAs. It’s best that he takes some time out to sort his life out. He appears to be exhausted.
“As a result, Danny is not filming on the show at all. He’s taking a break that is expected to last a number of weeks.
“At the end of the day, he remains the biggest star of the show — so everyone is determined to get him back to his best.”
A video later emerged of the actor “kicking off” after the National Television Awards held in January this year.
The star had to be calmed down by co-stars after becoming agitated. It’s still unclear as to when he will return to filming.
Co-star Richard Blackwood recently revealed the cast hadn’t been told when Danny is expected back on set.
“I’ve got no idea when Danny is coming back to work.
“It’s not been mentioned, and to be honest we are just getting on with things.
“We’re professionals and we’re getting on with the job.”
