AMANDA Holden made her glittering return to the West End stage in a play crammed full of hilarious eighties gags and fabulously over the top outfits.

Starring as Vera in Stepping Out, the stage version of the 1981 film featuring Liza Minelli and Julie Walters, the Britain’s Got Talent judge showed she’s both a master of plays and musicals.

Haughty Vera (Holden) commands the stage at all times joined by EastEnders actress Tracy-Ann Overman playing wheeler deeler Maxine and serving lashings of cockney class.

She was also nominated for an Olivier in 2004 for her role in Thoroughly Modern Millie

At 46 Amanda looks every inch the leading lady in her skin-tight silver catsuit, a nod to eccentric eighties fashion.

All rise for a performance worthy of the golden buzzer.
