RED carpet dressing can be hard to get right and Denise Welch, Lizzie Cundy, Kate Garraway and Lisa Maxwell hit the wrong note at the TRIC Awards in London today.

While the unofficial theme of the day seemed to be chic monochrome looks a la Holly Willoughby and Louise Rednkapp, these ladies stood out for the wrong reasons.

While jewel tones are one of the main fashion trends for the summer, Denise Welch's bright pink trouser suit landed her on the worst dressed list.

While she channelled TV sweetheart Scarlett Moffatt's outfit from the NTAs by pairing it with a black  top and matching stilettos, it just didn't quite work.

Former The Bill actress Lisa Maxwell wore a gorgeous bright blue coat but the rest of her outfit left a little to be desired.

She paired it with a mismatched silk navy top and dark blue jeans but then topped her outfit off with bright green boots.

Elsewhere, Lizzie Cundy disappointed us by covering up her rocking body in this white lace skirt and top combo.

The TV presenter is known for her killer pins but kept them hidden in this midi-length skirt.

Finally, Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway usually looks chic but there was just too much going on in this sequinned dress.

While the blue tones suited the blonde presenter, the red and white designs down the front distracted from the look.

Towie's Georgia Kousoulou looked more like she was ready to go clubbing than attend an afternoon awards event.

The reality star wore a pale pink skirt, a white crop top and draped a denim jacket over her shoulders for the occasion.

While prints are in vogue again, Emma Bunton's suit wasn't as chic as some of the more fashion forward looks in the shops.

She paired the black, blue, red and turquoise suit with leopard print sandals in an effort to elevate her look but it didn't quite work.

Meanwhile, Megan McKenna looked dramatically different in a slick navy suit as she narrowly avoided a run in with on-off boyfriend Pete Wicks.

Coronation Street's leading ladies, Kym Marsh, Tina O'Brien and Faye Brookes all wowed in their glamorous dresses at the bash.
