This morning Janey was joined on her hospice bed by her dachshund, Honey, wrapped in a blanket.

She was videoed stroking the small brown pooch's ear and wrote on social media: "She's happy."

The touching update from the terminally ill BBC comic left her fans feeling emotional.

One wrote: "Wonderful to see the pair of you reunited."

Another commented: "Beautiful. Bet you are so happy Janey."

A third said: "You two are the happiest girls in the world right now. Her facial expressions are precious."

Janey revealed she has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November 2021.

Last month, she announced that she was receiving palliative care and would be moving into a hospice.

In an emotional message, she said: "The chemo ran out of options and I just couldn't take any more of it, and the cancer has spread.

"So it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it. It's really difficult to speak about this and say it to people."
