Sir Bruce Forsyth’s daughter Julie reveals her father is ‘doing fanstastic’ after hospital scare as she makes appearance on This Morning
Julie admitted that her father was tuning in to watch her on the show
SIR Bruce Forsyth's daughter Julie confirmed her father is "doing well" after he spent five days in ICU with a severe chest infection earlier this month.
The 89-year-old's daughter revealed he is recovering well at home and claimed he was tuning in to Tuesday's episode of This Morning to watch her appearance on the programme.
Julie was on to speak to Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about the need for a change in the law to get dog theft treated more seriously when she was asked about her father.
She replied to Phillip: "He's good. He's watching... It's been a rough year but he's doing fantastic. We've all been together He's a wonderful father and I'm very proud of him."
Following his stint in hospital, Bruce's manager Ian Wilson, extended a "special thank you" to the NHS staff who treated him and his friends recently credited them with saving his life.
Bruce returned to his home in Virginia Water, Surrey and has been nursed by his wife of 33 years Wilnelia, 59.
Julie, the second eldest of Bruce’s five daughters, recently revealed that the TV legend has been doing well since returning home.
Speaking to the Sunday People, she said: “I have been to see him and he’s doing great.
“He is getting over a chest infection so it’s a bit difficult, but he’s doing good.”
She also said all six of his children visited him in hospital and have been by his side over the past few weeks.
Bruce is dad to Julie, Debbie, Louisa, Laura Forsyth, Jonathan, Joseph and Charlotte.
Sir Bruce has suffered a number of health issues in recent years - including a fall in 2015 which saw him rushed to hospital and subsequent surgery for two life-threatening aneurysms after tests were carried out following his fall.
