THE demand for Liam Gallagher-style parkas has soared since Oasis announced their tour.
The signature coat was popularised by the Mods in the 1960s and made famous again by Liam in the 1990s Britpop era.
Fashion chains have now said the coats are making a comeback.
Vintage clothing store Atika said they are scouring suppliers to keep up with demand for parkas with Oasis fans trying to recreate the look of swaggering front man Liam.

Online auction site eBay’s Amy Bannerman said: “The marketplace has seen a 400 per cent rise in parka searches.”

Tobias Bell, a hair stylist who specialises in alternative cuts, also told the style bible GQ: “If I do ten to eleven clients a day, I’d say at the moment at least two or three guys are mod cuts and I think it might be a lot more.
“I think I’ll be worked off my feet doing Oasis cuts up until the day they go on tour.”
