CAKE FOR BREAKFAST

Paddy McGuinness causes havoc and shocks presenters as he TV bombs Good Morning Britain for Comic Relief

The cheeky comedian later wreaked havoc on Loose Women and was caught ogling Andrea McLean's bum as she danced around in a sexy outfit

PADDY McGuinness left Good Morning Britain hosts gobsmacked as he made an unexpected appearance on today's programme wheeling a tea trolley full of cake.

Presenter Kate Garraway was seen open-mouthed in shock as the Pheonix Nights star burst into the studio with the sweet treats to promote a foodie fundraiser for Comic Relief.

Yet Kate then let slip another TV show paddy would pop up on - despite the fact Paddy was trying to keep things hush hush.

He gatecrashed the morning show and made a cheeky dig at absent host Piers Morgan, quipping: "It's better without Piers, isn't it!"

As Paddy leaned in to hug and kiss Kate, he jested: "I can still smell the Gin from last night!" referring to her boozy book launch, which saw her arrive at the studios having had just TWO hours sleep.

She swiftly retorted: "Are you aware there is a show going on?"

The comedian will be bursting onto a host of daytime TV shows throughout Friday as he drums up awareness for bake sales in aid of Red Nose Day, to be held on March 24.

In 2011 presenters Ant and Dec pulled off a similar stunt, popping up on around a dozen shows, including horseracing channel At The Races.

They stole items from the programmes to help raise even more cash.

The show's Paddy is targeting were supposed to be kept secret - yet Kate, 49, inadvertently let the cat out of the bag when she said he needed to save some cake for the Loose Women.

He squealed: "We are NOT doing Loose Women and I am NOT doing karaoke of Gloria Gaynor's I will Survive."

Paddy's sweet appearance came just moments after Kate enjoyed a VERY flirty interview with actor James Purefoy.

The screen star is famed for getting his kit off in TV drama Rome and bubbly presenter Kate was clearly eager for round two as he arrived to chat about new project Hap and Leonard.

After their chat on today's ITV show she bluntly told him: "I am sorry you're dressed - most of the movies he isn't!" before flicking her hair in a playful manner.

She added: "I feel a bit flushed to be honest!"

Her co-host Ben Shepard quizzed: "What's wrong with you?" before a bashful Kate told James: "I do apologise."

Paddy later appeared on Loose Women where he cheekily voiced his appreciation for Andrea McLean's sexy Cher outfit.

Speaking backstage before his appearance, he said: "I'm a married man but, Andra, that outfit you've got on.

"Oh my God, I'm enjoying this day time TV lark. I'm gonna go and have a word with myself."

Martine commented: "It looks amazing on-screen, in the flesh it's even better. There's not one blemish."

However, it took Andrea a while to get usedd to the revealing ensemble as she said: "I have never felt more vulnerable".

That didn't stop her getting up to have a dance when Paddy did a sing-along to Dolly Parton's Nine-to-Five and he was caught catching an eyeful as they danced around the studio.
