Hollyoaks fans rejoice as Ste Hay and Harry Thompson get engaged… despite Ste’s cheating with John Paul
The pair, known as Starry to fans, have finally got engaged but heartbreak could be just around the corner
HOLLYOAKS fans are thrilled over Starry's upcoming wedding.
Viewers watched as Ste Hay - who is played by actor Kieron Richardson - finally got down on one-knee and asked footballer boyfriend Harry Thompson to marry him... despite him cheating with his ex-husband John Paul, and they were thrilled.
The proposal, which happened in the middle of the village, came after Ste's ex husband John Paul realised how much he loved Ste and raced back to the village to win him back.
Unfortunately he walked straight into Ste proposing to Harry and couldn't interrupt despite surviving James Nightingale's faux murder attempt.
Evil lawyer James - who is played by actor Gregory Finnegan - discovered John Paul had kissed his ex Ste Hay and took terrifying revenge against them both - or that's what he wanted John Paul to think.

Driving John Paul to a cliff top, he parked up and told him everything he knew before releasing the handbrake and pushed the car towards the incline, lying to John Paul that Ste (Kieron Richardson) was in the boot.
John Paul raced to save his ex-husband down the cliff but soon realised that the boot was empty and broke down in shock at the awful events.
Meanwhile, Ste realised that Harry Thompson (Parry Glasspool) was the man for him and proposed in the middle of the village. However, the moment was witnessed by John Paul, who was rushing to declare his true feelings for Ste.
With John Paul watching devastated as Harry accepted Ste's proposal, will he leave the village heartbroken, or will he convince Ste to leave with him?
Elsewhere, the conniving ways of Diego Salvador Martinez Hernandez De La Cruz (Juan Pablo Yepez) were finally exposed, when the mother of his child, Myra McQueen (Nicole Barber Lane) found out that he had been sleeping with cougar, Frankie Osborne (Helen Pearson) in order to con money out of her.
Despite Myra agreeing to move to Spain with Diego, even after she knew about him stealing Frankie’s cash, Myra couldn’t see past his infidelity and sent him packing on his own.
Poor Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) experienced another crippling rejection when she drunkenly tried to kiss trainee priest, Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas Speed). After losing her sister and the love of her life in recent weeks, Cleo was desperate to clear her head and got drunk at The Loft.
However, when new crush Joel paid her some much-needed attention, she tried to kiss him. It seems that Cleo’s latest set-back could spark more trouble when she tells her family and Joel that she slept with Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) in tomorrow’s E4 episode (Wednesday 8 March)…
