David Beckham gives fans a tour of his vegetable patch at £12million home as he swaps motorbikes for kale and plums
DAVID Beckham has shown off his pride and joy – his brand new sprawling country garden – in a new video on Instagram.
The 49-year-old star has been trading in his wild days for a country life at his £12million estate – complete with chickens and kale crops.
Gone are the days of motorbikes and lavish parties, it seems these days the star is more content to stay at home and tend to his plums.
Over the past few weeks, David has been sharing the fruit (and veg) of his labour with regular updates on his social accounts.
In the new clip, David gave fans a tour of the garden, which included spring onions, newly planted wildflowers, kale patch, plum trees and a hen house.
David's wife Victoria surprised him with the chickens and a cockerel on Christmas Day last year.

He was even kitted out in a classic country look including a flat cap and a chequered shirt.
Proudly wishing his hens good morning, he found himself startled when one appeared to say good morning back.
He then revealed he planned to make crisps from his crops, noting he was a "savoury person".
Alongside the clip, Becks wrote: "My Kale is doing well 😆 I can hear my east end mates going 'He has changed' 😆
"My wife said shorten the video down but obviously didn't listen so I'm sorry.
"My content used to be motorbike's & camping now it's Kale , Honey & flowers for the house 🤔," he added. "Might have to get back on the road soon 🏍️
"[Victoria] you're welcome for the flowers for the house 🌺"
Victoria cheekily responded in the comments: "Who is this man?!? Give me my husband back"
Other fans loved it though, with one follower writing: "I’m here for Gardening with Beckham," while another noted: "I just love how proud he is of his vegetables."
Others called for a TV series or collaboration, with one commenting: "We need a @marthastewart48 x David Beckham gardening series .. with @snoopdogg ! except Snoop probably wouldn’t be planting kale. 🥬🫤😂"
'@jamieoliver you’ve got some competition.. 🥦🌽🥬🍅🥔" said another, adding: "I can see a short film brewing for @comicrelief #richardcurtis 🍅🎬 where you two are having a ‘veg-off’ at a Essex village veg-growing comp!"
The Beckhams bought their huge converted barn near Chipping Norton in 2016 and they now split their time between the property and their house in London.
David, especially, has thrown himself into country life and has also been keeping bees in his grounds for the past four years.

Earlier this week, The Sun told how David is now able to make a profit from his beekeeping after trademarking a name.
But rather than call it David’s Sticky Stuff, as wife Posh has referred to it, he has gone for Bee Up.
