Naomi Campbell sparks feud with Vogue legend Anna Wintour with savage public put down
FAMOUSLY blunt Naomi Campbell is never afraid to deliver a shady comment.
But the supermodel may have made a major mistake this week by bad-mouthing Anna Wintour on stage – in a room of fashion’s biggest movers and shakers.
During a speech at a New York Fashion Week ceremony for Harlem’s Fashion Row, the Vogue editor-in-chief – who is famous for her dark glasses – referred to Naomi’s notorious lateness.
She told the audience: “I am a very punctual person, and I have the honour of presenting tonight to someone who is often late.”
But Naomi, who wore a black gown and had a bandage on her knee, lived up to her reputation and was so late that Anna eventually left.
Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Samira Nasr presented her with the Fashion Icon Award.

Accepting the gong, Naomi, who was also in shades, made the snide remark: “It wasn’t my choice to have the other lady, I’d much rather have this one.”
There were gasps from the crowd, and I doubt Anna was best pleased when word got back to her.
Naomi has been on the cover of Vogue 66 times, with Anna, making her the fashion bible’s first black woman to appear on the cover in 1989.
Those bridges may have been burned now and I doubt she will be back on the front for a while.
