Louis Tomlinson ‘tells friends he was just protecting girlfriend Eleanor Calder’ after airport brawl arrest as One Direction fans threaten to KILL girl involved
LOUIS Tomlinson has reportedly told friends that he was "protecting [his] girlfriend" after being arrested and charged following an airport bust-up.
The singer, 25, became embroiled in a row as he was making his way through arrivals at LAX airport and now some One Direction fans have threatened to kill the girls involved in the bust-up.
He was put under citizen's arrest and charged with simple battery and a misdemeanour.
Bail was set at £16,000 but Louis was released without payment on a personal recognizance bond - whereby he promised in writing to appear at all future court hearings.
Louis had jetted in from Las Vegas with Eleanor Calder after a short stopover on their way back from Jamaica.
A One Direction fan has since told The Sun On Sunday that the singer had "socked" her in the face and pushed her to the ground after brawling with a photographer.
But a source told : "Those girls were attacking Eleanor and Louis rushed in and pushed them away. He is adamant everything he did was to protect his girlfriend and that is what he has been telling his friends."
